This is what happens when you arrive at Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor far to late for sunset...you take the wrong trailhead (they are poorly marked, even in daylight), stumble around for a while, realize you are lost, and hope the headlamp batteries last...


Anyway, I was trying to find the location of the Natural Bridges, but the map lied (or I would like to believe so at any rate).


Later I tried to find out where precisely I took this shot; I looked at 3 maps of the area, none agreed...so this is my Boardman shot of dubious location. I was standing next to a cliff, near a waterfall of some sort. I had hoped to reproduce something similar to an awesome shot by Jesse Estes, but I arrived late and got lost instead...I did see a mountain goat though.
